EPOL GROUP

EPOL Group is an industry led forum fully supported by Police Scotland, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Offshore Energies UK, the Health and Safety Executive and the Offshore Petroleum Regulator for Environment and Decommissioning, which seeks to improve offshore emergency response related issues in the northern United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS) and West of Shetland.

EPOL Group is supported by more than 40 Oil and Gas companies in Aberdeen and its members meet regularly to discuss good practice, identify areas for improvement and to share learning industry-wide.

As a subsidiary to the main body, various subgroups exist to progress work addressing specific projects including agency responsibilities when responding to incidents offshore, pan-industry terminology and relative response / next of kin notification.
